"MUSIC FOR THE CURE"

'A Gala For Hope'

This Is A Fundraiser for the Susan G.Komen Foundation, Las Vegas Affiliate;
And The Girtha D. Mack Cancer Prevention Foundation

         On August 14, 2010 a new era of caring and sharing will begin in Las Vegas. This day will marked the beginning of an annual event that will bring the stars of Las Vegas music and those great women who have overcome tragedy together for one night of monumental entertainment and celebration.

       And you are invited.

Welcome to the Las Vegas "Music for the Cure Gala" presented by the Las Vegas American Music Association; the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Las Vegas affiliate; and the Girtha D. Mack Foundation. These three non profit organizations are combing workforces to help find a cure for breast cancer and to assist those who the disease has afflicted. The event is scheduled to take place inside the South Point Casino Grand Ballroom. The Gala reception will begin at 6:00 p.m. Dining will begin at 7:00 p.m. followed by a silent auction; and live entertainment.

"Music For The Cure" will feature a live tribute to the legendary Johnny Mathis, presented by internationally acclaimed tribute artist Frankie Munoz. This native of New York City has performed his tribute to Johnny Mathis for over 30 years around the globe. He most recently was named Las Vegas' "Best Tribute Artist" and continues to be a popular favorite among tourists and Las Vegas locals.

Mr. Munoz has invited numerous friends to join him and his orchestra on stage for this once in a lifetime black-tie gala in support of the magnificent efforts to end breast cancer and fund research programs.

The Susan G. Komen Foundation has a storied history in giving towards the effort to fight cancer. Decades of outreach and information into the lives of women around the world has earned this great organization an unprecedented reputation. The Las Vegas affiliate continues to produce programs and activities that promote cancer research and give people access to critical information that could save their lives.

When the Girtha D. Mack Foundation (GDMF) started in Stockton, California five years ago, it was organized with the mission to impact the lives of minority women. This need for message diversity quickly took hold, and African American, Latino, Asian, Indian and women of color were able receive the care and guidance needed to learn more about breast cancer. Now with efforts to do the same in Las Vegas, Sacramento, Los Angeles and Oakland, the foundation continues to spread a positive message of hope and fulfillness to women.

We are inviting you to join us in the effort. This event will help the Susan G. Komen Foundation continue its great work in Las Vegas and expand the GDMF into new communities of need.
